Our job is about looking after pets and their owners, but we also aim to look after our team. A happy team, with the time to do the job properly, will ultimately provide a better service to our pet owners. To ensure we are doing this we regularly consult with the team e.g. in 2021 using the VDS Training Culture Survey and also make use of DISC personality profiling for all employees. We have joined The Meraki Initiative to share a transparent insight into the employee experience and positive culture you can expect as a member of our family-team. In June 2022 we completed their employee experience survey, which was very positive.
We see a diverse and interesting range of cases, and are passionate about team development and training – we love for people to find their ‘niche’, but equally understand some people like to do a bit of everything. We also enjoy socialising outside of work; previous outings have included raft building, go karting, clay pigeon shooting and Go Ape as well as the usual evenings out.

RECEPTIONIST/STUDENT NURSE/NURSING ASSISTANT POSITIONS
We do not currently have any job or training vacancies. We are happy to keep CVs on file for when a vacancy does arise.
WORK EXPERIENCE
We do offer work experience placements to school and college students, usually from the age of 16. These placements take place at our Torquay surgery. Placements are highly competitive and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate all students who request places. Successful applicants may be invited for an informal interview or trial day before their placement is confirmed.
